Compassionate care for children, teens, young adults, and families
Shabnam Cherry is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience supporting children, teens, adults, and families across diverse settings. Her background includes private practice, nonprofit agencies, and group homes. In addition to her clinical work, Shabnam served as a professional foster parent, providing care and support to over 100 children throughout her career.
Shabnam believes in each person's capacity for resilience, healing, and meaningful growth. She provides a warm, supportive space where clients feel safe, understood, and empowered throughout the therapeutic process.
Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other collaborative approaches, she helps clients develop practical coping skills, navigate life transitions, strengthen relationships, and reframe unhelpful thought patterns. When working with children and teens, she incorporates role-play, creativity, and storytelling to create an engaging and age-appropriate therapeutic experience.
Whether supporting a child struggling with following instructions, a teenager managing anxiety, or a family working to rebuild connection, Shabnam approaches each client with compassion, empathy, and genuine care.
